The symposium is organized by the DRZ (Deutsches Resilienz-Zentrum) at Johannes Gutenberg University Medical Center, the International Resilience Alliance (intresa), and the new Collaborative Research Center 1193 "Neurobiology of resilience" (CRC1193, funded by Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) and is supported by the Rhine-Main Neuroscience Network (rmn²).
While in 2015 the discussions focused on human stress resilience research, this year's meeting will cover latest developments and break-throughs in stress resilience research both in animals and humans. Speakers will come from a broad range of disciplines and countries.

From Frankfurt International Airport
Frankfurt Airport is connected to Mainz central station ("Mainz Hbf") via regular direct regional trains, for which no prebooking is required. Tickets can be bought in the train station. Take either an R or an S8 train (not S9!), leaving from "Frankfurt (Main) Flughafen Regionalbahnhof", platform 3. Costs: 4.65 € one-way. You can find the timetables here. Cabs take 25-35 min. On station square, take trams 50, 51 (bay A) or 52 (bay K) direction Hechtsheim, exit "Am Gautor" (6 min, costs: 1.65 € one-way). You can find the timetables here. Cabs take 5 min.
Walk down Kästrich, turn right into Martinstraße (5 min).
